This was my first time working with the Valdani 6-strand embroidery floss and I love the way it shows off the subtle variegation in the birds and flowers.  The design features several colors of coneflower and a trio of songbirds who enjoy them.

Stitch count is 74 wide x 222 high and the model is stitched with one strand of thread over two strands of linen.  The model is stitched on 40 count "Beanstalk" linen from Fiber On A Whim.  This is a lovely blue/green fabric that evokes a summer sky and the closest DMC equivalent is 3813 or 503.

Valdani 6-strand embroidery floss - 5 (Light Ecru), 141 (Mother Goose Light), O67 (Rusty Gold), 8123 (Brown Black Dark), H206 (Washed Orange), O510 (Terracotta Twist), O526 (Green Pastures), V106 (Antique Golds)

A DMC conversion is provided for the overdyed threads.
